Another new smoothing system is on the market Smooth 'N' Shine's Keratin Power Regular and Super Semi-Permanent Hair Tamer.

Only when I see all these new straightening products that allow you to return to your natural that I wish I still had my long hair.  Then again it is a long process that you have to do to get your hair straight with these products.  For me I think I'm enjoying this short break of not having to do my hair as much and less time doing it.

You can check this new product out at Walmart, someone also left a review about how great the product is.

Now over at Amazon I found two negative reviews.

With these types of products you could be taking a risk and instead of ending up with gorgeous locks, you may end up with breakage.

So for those of you who are relaxed or texlaxed I wanted to post some inspiration for you.

What I Think About Relaxing Your Hair


Relaxing your hair is still a debated topic among the natural hair community.  Either because of the chemicals or because it may mean to some that you are trying to be what your not.  The reason I stopped relaxing the first time was because I wanted to avoid the harsh chemicals, then I relaxed for a second time after being natural for several years.  Thinking it would make managing my hair easier.  To avoid the chemical exposure as much as I could I decided I wouldn't relax as often.  Not applying the chemical directly to my scalp and not rinsing it of in the shower with the relaxer running down my body.  I also started of with a less toxic relaxer.  Yes lady's it is possible to have healthy hair while relax, I thought it wasn't possible.  Now I know it is from experience.

So I was checking out the Bronner's Bros. website looking through their brochure for there show being held right now when I saw a new product in it that I hadn't seen before.  When I saw it I was like where this was when I decided to texlax my hair. Anyway the product works similar to those keratin straightening procedures, I refused to get one of those because of the formaldehyde in them.  It temporarily straightens your hair for 12 weeks, without taken away your curl.  It also helps to strengthen your hair from the inside out, and tame frizz.
