The Science of Black Hair

The Science of Black Hair: A Comprehensive Guide to Textured Hair Care  I recently decided to purchase this book because sometimes I feel like I experience internet overload.  I still like reading other people's techniques and product reviews, but I still need the right information.  So far I really like this book, It answered some questions I had about how important the scalp is.  I also need alot more information about moisturizing and protein balancing.  I started reading from the first chapter, but I've skip to chapters that I need to read the most.  I don't see myself reading all of it anytime soon, but so far the few times I read it I didn't want to put it down.  I've been relaxed now for about 5 months, so I'm working on my routine, and what products will become staples.  This book also has a guide on which products you can use, starting from which shampoo to select right down to the heat protectant.

The topics it covers:

1) The Science of Black Hair
2) Healthy Hair Management
3) Working With Chemicals in a Healthy Hair Care Regimen
4) Children's Hair Care
5) The Hair-Total Body Connection

If your lost on your natural, texlaxed, relaxed journey, then this book is a must have.
