I remember turning the TV on and just watching a small portion of the SAG awards show and what I saw was a glowing radiant black women with beautiful skin, "Viola Davis".  A women like this truly gives me inspiration to be a beautiful dark women.  I grew up with my grandmother whose skin was like a white person and her hair is what I called good hair.  My mom was a shade darker than my grandmother but also had this seemly good hair that I just didn't possess.  When I was pregnant with my daughter I kept saying to myself I know my daughter will be light skin because her father, shame on me.  I even remember praying for her to have what I considered good hair.

I know longer think of my hair or my skin as way down the line when it comes to beauty, thank you Viola for putting your stunning beauty in are faces for all to see.

Check  out her interview here where it explains how she rose from poverty to what she is today.
